Free CQPS PSO Webinars

As follow-up to the June 3 Summit, we have scheduled two Webinars. This is your opportunity to learn more and orient your colleagues to the CQPS PSO.

Welcome to the CQPS PSO - Thursday, June 25, 2 – 3 PM CST

For those who missed the June 3rd Summit presentations, this webinar is designed to provide an overview of the Patient Safety Act, the goals and protections of the PSO program, the value of PSO aggregated and analysed data to the safety and QI work of Chicagoland healthcare organizations, the interface with the Illinois Medical Studies Act and other basics of the CQPS PSO program.

Getting Ready to Join the CQPS PSO - Monday, June 29, 2 – 3 PM CST

The recently implemented Patient Safety Act of 2005 (PSA) recommends that every provider organization document its Patient Safety Evaluation System (PSES), defining its Patient Safety Work Product (PSWP) and the personnel, systems and processes for its creation, management and PSO reporting. This webinar focuses on specifics of what hospitals must do to maximize learning and safeguard legal protections. As you prepare to participate in the CQPS PSO, learn also about membership and leadership opportunities and the secure CQPS/ECRI web portal and mechanisms for seamless integration with existing systems and procedures.

To register for the Webinars, please e-mail pteggatz@ecri.org, stating your choice of June 25th or June 29th, or both, webinars.

You will receive confirmation and connection information by return e-mail.

On January 1, the name of Chicago Patient Safety Forum was formally changed to the Coalition for Quality and Patient Safety of Chicagoland (CQPS). All website material added after that date will reflect the new name. Please bear with us as we update pages in recognition of the name change along with our updated mission and vision.
