| Carrie Nelson, MD, MS, is Associate Director of the Rush-Copley Family Medicine Residency Program. Commitment to patient safety is at the core of Dr. Carrie Nelson's responsibilities at Rush-Copley. As a leader in quality and patient safety initiatives, she is dedicated to putting patients first. As Assistant Vice-President of Patient Safety at Rush-Copley Medical Center, her duties included identifying patient safety priorities and ensuring action plans are implemented to ensure patient safety. Dr. Nelson is board-certified in family medicine. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Rush University and her Master in Administrative Medicine and Population Health degree from the University of Wisconsin. Dr.Nelson serves as a board member for the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians and Illinois Foundation for Quality Health Care. She has three sons and resides in Wheaton. |
