Leonard Lamkin, MPA, Executive Director, has twenty five years of experience in developing and implementing health promotion especially substance abuse prevention programs. Prior to joining the Chicago Patient Safety Forum, Leonard Lamkin, MPA, was the Deputy Director of the American Medical Association's Office of Alcohol, Reducing Underage Drinking and prior to that the Director of the Department of Adolescent Health's Brief Office Intervention for Adolescents Using Tobacco. He is a member of the Action Board (policy) of APHA and a leader of the ATODA section. He was the co-chair of the ATODA section of the Society of Adolescent Medicine. He is the immediate past President of the Illinois Association for Prevention and has served as an adjunct professor of Prevention and Community Development at both National-Louis University and Montay College. He has a BS in Public Administration from Bentley College and a MA in Public Administration from Suffolk University.
Steven Maxwell, Executive Assistant, brings to CPSF a wide variety of management and consulting experience in information technology, promotion, events, and media production for private sector organizations, including Screenz LLC, DMAX DVD LLC, and CopyCat of Evanston. A proud computer geek and a filmmaker, he has contributed to the burgeoning Chicago independent music and filmmaking movements. Steven moved to Chicago from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in 1994.
