Barbara Gaffke, PhD, MSN, APN is an Associate Professor in the Graduate Nursing Program at DePaul University and the Director of the Nursing Administration and Leadership Program, and sits on the Committee for International Studies. She is also the Chairperson for the Illinois Nurses Association's Patient Safety Committee and serves on both the Illinois Kid Care Community Outreach Committee and Illinois Department of Public Health Hospital Disaster Preparedness Committee. As a member of the Chicago Patient Safety Forum Steering Committee and its subcommittees, Dr. Gaffke's interests have focused on the challenges in the delivery of safe, quality patient care.
